JackBit / Privacy policy for Australia
Privacy policy for Australia
How JackBit gathers, uses and protects personal data for players in Australia, set out in clear language instead of legal jargon.
Who is responsible for your data at JackBit?
JackBit is the party responsible for personal data gathered through this website and through JackBit accounts. We handle data in line with the requirements of our Curaçao Gaming Authority licence and with the data protection laws that apply to the players we serve, which for people in Australia includes the local privacy rules that cover them. Privacy questions can go to the support email in our site footer with "Privacy" in the subject line, and the request is forwarded to the team that deals with data protection.
What data does JackBit collect?
We only gather the data we need to run accounts, process payments, meet our legal duties and keep the platform secure. Depending on how the site is used, that may include:
- Account data: username, email address, mobile number, password (stored as a hash), preferred language and account settings, or your Google account details if you register through Google.
- Verification data: when we ask for it, your name, date of birth, address, identity documents, proof of address and details about the source of funds.
- Transaction data: deposits, withdrawals, wallet addresses, transaction hashes, the coins and networks used, and card purchases of crypto made in AUD through the cashier.
- Gaming data: your bets, rounds played, results, bonuses, rakeback points and VIP tier.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, rough location worked out from the IP address, and log data about visits.
- Communication data: what you write to us in live chat, by email or through other support channels.
We never ask for wallet private keys or seed phrases, and no member of our staff will request them.
Why does JackBit use this data?
| Purpose | Examples |
|---|---|
| Running your account | Setting up the account, logging in, displaying balance and history, applying bonuses and rakeback |
| Handling payments | Crediting deposits, sending withdrawals, matching transactions to the right accounts |
| Legal and licence obligations | Age checks, anti-money laundering checks, fraud prevention, record keeping, checks on restricted territories |
| Responsible gambling | Applying limits, breaks and self-exclusion, spotting signs of harm |
| Security | Catching unusual logins, guarding against account takeover and abuse |
| Support | Answering questions and resolving complaints |
| Improving the service | Seeing how features are used so the site can become quicker and clearer |
| Marketing | Sending promotion news to players who have agreed to receive it |
The legal bases for this processing are performing the contract with the player, meeting our legal and licence obligations, our legitimate interest in running a safe and efficient service, and consent where it is needed, for example for marketing messages.
Does JackBit use cookies?
This website only uses the storage it needs to work, such as remembering that you closed the offer bar at the bottom of the page during a visit. That preference sits in the browser's session storage and disappears once the tab is closed. The casino platform itself uses cookies to keep players signed in, remember language choices and protect accounts from fraud. Browsers let you block or delete cookies whenever you like, although blocking essential cookies may stop the account area from working properly.
Who does JackBit share data with?
We do not sell personal data. It is shared only where needed to provide the service or where the law requires it:
- Game studios and sportsbook providers, which receive what they need to run games and settle bets, such as an account identifier and bet details.
- Payment and on-ramp providers, which handle card purchases of crypto, including those charged in AUD, and may run their own checks.
- Verification and fraud prevention services, which help confirm identity and spot suspicious activity.
- Hosting, support and communication providers, which operate our servers, live chat and email under contracts with data protection terms.
- Regulators, law enforcement and courts, where the law or our licence requires disclosure.
Some providers are based outside the player's country, so data from Australian players may be processed overseas. Wherever data moves internationally, we use contractual and technical safeguards to protect it.
What should you know about blockchain data?
Crypto deposits and withdrawals are written to public blockchains. Wallet addresses and amounts on a blockchain can be seen by anyone, and neither JackBit nor anyone else can change or erase them. We do not publish any connection between a wallet address and a player's identity, but players should remember that blockchain records are public by design. If you buy or sell coins through an Australian exchange, that exchange keeps its own records under its own policy.
How long does JackBit keep data?
Personal data is kept for as long as the account stays open and for a period afterwards to meet legal, licence and anti-money laundering requirements, which commonly call for transaction and verification records to be kept for several years after an account closes. Records of a self-exclusion stay on file for as long as the exclusion has to be enforced. Marketing preferences stay on file until they are changed. Once data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.
How does JackBit protect data?
Data travels over encrypted SSL connections. Passwords are stored as hashes, access to personal data is limited to staff whose role requires it, and verification documents are kept separately with restricted access. No system is completely safe from attack, so we also ask players to use a strong, unique password and to keep their email account secure.
What rights do you have over your data?
Depending on the law that applies where the player lives, the following rights may be available:
- The right to get a copy of the personal data we hold.
- The right to fix data that is wrong or incomplete.
- The right to request deletion of data we are not obliged to keep.
- The right to limit or object to certain processing, including direct marketing.
- The right to get your data in a portable format.
- The right to withdraw consent at any time, where processing relies on consent.
- The right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, such as the privacy regulator where you live.
Requests can be sent to the support email in our site footer. We may ask for proof of identity before acting on a request, so that data is only released to the account holder. We aim to reply within one month.
How does JackBit handle marketing messages?
Promotional emails and messages only go to players who have agreed to receive them. Each one includes a way to unsubscribe, and preferences can also be changed through support. Self-excluded players receive no marketing at all.
What about children?
JackBit is only for adults aged 18 and over. We never knowingly gather data from anyone younger than 18. If we discover that an account belongs to a minor, it is closed and the related data is dealt with in line with our legal obligations.
Will this policy change?
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or in the law. The current version is always published on this page, and major changes are announced on the site or by email. More on the casino's rules is in our terms and conditions, and other ways to reach us are on the contact page.
